Quilting Curls

Let me introduce myself.  My  name is Chris Nelson.  I have enjoyed sewing and quilting for some time.  I appreciate quality in fabric and equipment, so for that reason I have two Bernina sewing and embroidery machines and a Bernina serger.  And now I have added the Viking Mega Quilter 18 x 8 to my list of quality equipment.

Recently my loving and handy husband built me a large sewing room.  Now I spend a great deal of my time in there sewing up the large stash of quilt fabric I have aquired.

My Business

I look forward to this exciting adventure.  Even though my business is new, I am not new to quilting.  When I was employed at a local quilt shop, I enjoyed teaching new ones to piece quilts and do free motion quilting on their sewing machines.

I will be custom quilting and making quilts to order such as the memory quilts.  Or if you need a quilt label I can embroider that special message you want to add.

Recently I had a customer ask me a question that concerned her a great deal.  I thought others too might want to know the same thing.  She asked me if I smoke.  She had taken a quilt to a quilter in the past that smoked and the smells permeated her new quilt.

I do not smoke and neither does anyone else in my household.

I haven't had a dog for years, but in February of this year I was at the local newspaper office submitting an ad for my business when one of the employees came in with a 5 week old boston terrier pup.  She was looking for a home for it.  Needless to say, Magee came home with me and he has been entertaining us ever since.

My sewing room fortunately is upstairs.  The slick wooden spiral staircase prevents my dog Magee from joining me up there.  So your precious projects and mine are safe from chewing and shedding:)
